Hybrid schools that take PEP in Hillsborough

A PEP hybrid is a private school a student attends in person at least two full days a week, with the family's learning plan covering the rest. Eleven Hillsborough schools carry the state's PEP participant flag.

What qualifies

The school must be an eligible private school in the state directory, the student can't be enrolled full time, and attendance must be in person at least two full days a week. Tuition and the standard eligible fees are payable from the PEP account.

What the family keeps

Hybrid tuition usually sits well below the $7,837-$8,429 Hillsborough award, so the remainder can go to curriculum, tutoring, electives and testing.

FES-UA families

Since 2026-27, FES-UA can also pay tuition at an eligible hybrid private school, under the same two-day rule and with a Student Learning Plan.
