About Tampa Edu Funding & where our data comes from

An independent guide to Florida's school-choice money for Hillsborough County families, built on the state's own private school records.

Florida funds private education more broadly than any other state, but the information families need is scattered: award tables in one place, deadlines in another, and school participation buried in a state directory most parents never see. Tampa Edu Funding puts it together for Hillsborough County — the award for your child's grade, the programs you're eligible for, and the schools where that money can be spent.

A School Funding Advisor reviews each family's funding check and follows up with a plan. Some schools and organizations partner with us; those relationships are labeled wherever they appear and don't change which sources we recommend.

Where the school data comes from

Every listing reproduces the record the school filed with the Florida Department of Education Private School Directory (Hillsborough district), retrieved October 17, 2026: the state school number, address, website, grades, religious affiliation and denomination, students served, accreditation, disability categories served, reported enrollment by grade, the year of the latest annual survey, and the state's participation flags for FTC, FES-EO, FES-UA and PEP. 203 schools were registered in the district that day; 146 were listed for FTC/FES-EO, 143 for FES-UA and 11 for PEP.

Award amounts are the 2026-27 Hillsborough figures in Step Up For Students' county award table ($8,429 K-3, $7,837 4-8, $7,644 9-12). Deadlines come from Step Up's 2026-27 schedule. Tuition isn't reported to the state; schools can add it by claiming their listing.

Found an error? The quickest fix is for the school to update its state survey. We refresh from the directory regularly and correct listings on request at hello@tampaedufunding.com.

Tampa Edu Funding is a Boss Leads project. We are not a school, a scholarship funding organization, Step Up For Students, or a government agency.
