School Readiness (Child Care Assistance)

Subsidized child care for working Hillsborough families, paid to participating centers, church programs and private schools.

School Readiness is run locally by the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County with state and federal Child Care and Development Fund dollars.

It fills a gap the K-12 scholarships do not touch: aftercare and younger siblings. Ask any school with a preschool or aftercare program whether it is a School Readiness provider.

How to stack it

School Readiness (Child Care Assistance) can usually be combined with school-based tuition assistance and at least one other source on this site. Complete the funding check and an advisor will map the full stack for your child.
